We've just added another new play--Don't Look by Gina Doherty. A modern adaptation of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, Don't Look was produced in Chicago by Something Marvelous and directed by Emmi Hilger. It's an inspired love story and adventure from one of the country's premiere magical realist companies, and we're excited to share it with new audiences around the world.
After a bit of a hiatus, Stagecloud is returning with new plays! Our first of several announcements is the arrival of Who Killed Comrade Rabbit?, a production from Hollywood's Blank Theatre directed by the multi-Emmy winning actress Barbara Bain (Mission: Impossible). The one-man show, written by Willard Manus (Mott The Hoople) and Ilia Volok (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), stars Volok as a Russian actor forced to choose between saving his own life or testifying against the Moscow Art Theatre, which the secret police have begun investigating for "subversive activities." It's a thrilling show, and we hope you'll check it out!
It's finally here! Stagecloud's first play, Hyperreality Show: A Few Plays on the Media and Popular Culture, is now available to stream. Visit the Plays section to watch the trailer, rent, or buy the production, and start watching professional theater in a whole new way. As for the rest of the site, we've done a few touchups, reorganized a few things, and are ready to go for the future of theater streaming. As always, there will be more updates to come soon, but for now we hope you enjoy Hyperreality Show!
Stagecloud has officially launched! Huzzah! We hope you enjoy all our new digital content, from podcasts to music to video interviews, and we'll see you at our first show premiering August 7 in Milwaukee (and on the internet soon after for audiences everywhere else). We'll have more updates and content soon, but until then, happy streaming!
Stagecloud is finishing its "beta" stage and will be launching soon! We look forward to finally bringing you a brand new way to enjoy theater for the streaming era, so stay tuned!
